She’s definitely helicoptering and doing a lot, especially considering he has never done it before. I think she is a bit controlling and is used to taking the reins with everything (especially with parenting being a single mom) so it’s done “correctly” but you have to learn to let a partner in and trust them otherwise it just won’t work
