unfortunately trump supporters exist and they’re gonna exist anywhere. it’s discrimination to exclude JUST DUE to political views. it’s fine to now support or like them. throwing them constant hate is why they put out that official statement

Why would I try to speak sense into u when it’s obvious ppl have already tried and u blatantly chose to be ignorant instead?

not defending them but i’m simply saying the exist and they’re gonna exist in our spaces. they have the same right to these opportunities as anyone else. not saying they should get them but that they have the right to

A supporter of a pedo should never have the same right to opportunities that will only allow them to put their bigotry on a pedestal. That only sends the message that it’s ok to support pedos which is NOT a good message to send. So it’s expected for ppl to show resistance to those kind of ppl being on such a mainstream show like LI

Can also consider the way Trump has been supporting and promoting the violent ways of ICE and how those incidents have resulted in deaths and more division.

i agree it’s not ok to send that message but being on a dating show where politics is never brought up is when they don’t differ from anyone else and can’t be discriminated against that (not talking about the fans, i’m talking about the casting directors) the only reason people know about their views is because people actually dug that up. if you don’t want them to be influential, simply don’t engage with them

i support the girl who said the n word to be kicked off because she actually did harm. simple political views is something different and legally protected. once again, i’m not defending but saying it’s not always avoidable

obviously they can’t be kicked off but people seem to be upset at the fact that it’s solely being pointed out. actions have consequences, and supporting/being a racist is clearly not what we should be doing in the big 2026. why do you think it’s bad that people are educated on who they’re going to be voting for?

they shouldn’t have brought them on the show to begin with. the producers and host are not only anti-maga, but they also know their audience does not fw racists. they could’ve easily picked republicans that aren’t maga, but they didn’t and that’s where the issue lies.

i already said the issue is with maga, not republicans, please read more efficiently before responding. i also told you already that i understand why they can’t be kicked off, but you can’t be mad that people are holding racist behavior accountable. the fact that you’re going so hard trying to defend this racist behavior tells me all i need to know about you.

let me get this straight, you start off by saying: “nobody cares if you’re mad”. then you continue on to you: “you can be mad all you want”. once again, please read more efficiently before responding (this includes your messages as well)

using the same logic you gave me: just turn your phone off if it bothers you that much.

the whole point was that love island cannot discriminate because of political views unless they actively do harm. that is why people that support him are gonna be on the show unfortunately. would it be better if they casted people that showed no political endorsement? probably but people will dig into your digital footprint anyways or assume you’re maga simply because you’re a cop. if it bothers you that much to have someone on the screen, don’t watch the show and boost their views.

people said the same thing about austin last year and he made it further than he should have and some needed up liking him. just shows that the audience can’t do anything

i think you can’t read. never said anything about kicked off, i’m talking about the literal casting process. it’s like hiring for a job, some jobs aren’t going to dig into your political views and not hire you because of that. yes they have the consequences of people not liking you but the show is not about their political views

Why do u think ppl are saying they’re just gonna vote them off? I’m not asking for them to be removed, but my argument is that ofc ppl are gonna have a problem with it

Just bc the show isn’t about politics doesn’t mean they don’t matter. Politics affect the way ppl view you and connections on the show have literally split bc of them. This way of thinking is ignorant

Anonymous replying to -> #1 12w

i agree but as we’ve been saying, they’re not gonna base the castings on political views. connections splitting is apart of the show. you don’t know who you’re going to meet and you find something or you don’t

upvote 1 downvote

Anonymous replying to -> OP 12w

Sure they’re not gonna base the casting off of that, but can’t be shocked that ppl want them gone and will vote them off or not support their journey at all

Anonymous replying to -> #1 12w

you can’t vote people off, only for your favorite and that’s always been the case. yea they’re not going to get the most votes but during their time in the villa, their political views are not relevant
