How sick in the head are you if watching Melanie be emotionally toyed with is entertaining and “fun”? Idc if it’s television these are REAL PEOPLE
Y’all are not thinking about this finale correctly. Melanie and Sincere need to be in the finale FOR THE DRAMA. Their messiness makes the show more fun and is the only thing that kept me coming back. Brinity’s winning no matter what so why not make it fun

OP with your logic this show has emotionally toyed with all the contestants it’s what they sign up for and if it bothers you to much you shouldn’t be watching it at all then if you don’t support it.

i mean at the end of the day it's a reality show they signed up for... like the whole point of the show is drama...

It’s reality television though, these are real people for sure but these aren’t their real lives. This is a super weird and specific context that is manufactured to create drama and they know that as well as we do. They’re here on purpose and are getting something out of it they wanted. Ultimately the show exists for entertainment and it really is ok to want that from a reality show called love island.

Hey im the OP and i just wanna say that I am hoping for Melanie to finally stand up to that man for the last time. I need her to make movie night look like a cake walk. I want her to emotionally destroy him and get her damn lick back. That is the conclusion to the drama that I wanna see

But she won’t. She hasn’t. Even after everything. Everyone expecting her to suddenly switch into standing up for herself does not understand the grip her emotions for that man has over her. There’s no good conclusion besides her and him being removed from the villa.

Well yes but even the chance of that happening is better television that any other couple can bring to the finale

You’re right. Sincere didn’t just emotionally toy with Melanie, he pathologically lied to her (and everyone else), gaslit her, all while feeding her delusions. Yeah that’s SUCH good television. It’s not an issue with the show, it’s an issue with this toxic couple. Don’t twist my logic about the show as if that’s the root of the issue, and not a fucked up manipulator 😂

Yes I want entertaining reality shows too. But for yall to keep peddling the idea of a man manipulating and lying to a woman who just wants true honesty and effort from him AS entertaining is disturbing. Sorry if that’s what entertains you. Maybe talk to someone about that. Sickening.

it’s still a show… no one would watch a show without drama, you should know this. reality tv is not a show for empathetic ppl

I mean she’s not a child or in any way incapable of getting herself out of this situation so like yes a little bit? Two adults in a dramatic relationship where one of them lies and manipulates the other is gonna be the plot of most forms of media. Conflict is interesting and therefore entertaining, no conflict is not. If everyone involved is safe and the show isn’t forcing him to do it or her to endure it I guess I’m just not that beat up about it. They would be doing the same shit w/o cameras

You clearly must be a new viewer bc I’ve been watching love island for many seasons now including the UK version and this shit happens all the time the show it set up to create an environment that’s hard to navigate for the sake of creating drama and storylines among contestants
