I think they’re saying they’re supporting them because they’re black because on TV the black couple is typically always villainized in some way or bullied online. We’re even seeing it now with the hate that they’re getting from not only the fans of the show but companies with big followings. It’s to balance out the hate.

I think the same logic applies even if they don’t say it. They just wanna see black people win because it’s not often that you do see it. It makes me think about Issa Rae and how she said she was “rooting for everyone black.” Ig I would say it’s a showing support thing because of all the bad we normally see.

That’s just my guess tho. My support for them isn’t because they’re black. It ties into my reasonings for supporting them but I also like them as a couple.
