Unpopular opinion (ig?) but I’m actually satisfied with tonight’s episode. I was sad about who was eliminated fs, but we’ve all been complaining about the direction this season was going in and it feels like the producers were trying to course correct

I’m honestly not mad either I feel like we needed production to step in cause of how the og islanders was acting and they needed to be reminded of why their here, for love not money

And I actually think it was a smart way to go about it. How do you combat scheming islanders who know how to game the system and feel overly confident doing it? By pulling the rug out from beneath them

i’m just tired of all the dramatic dumpings bc it’s getting ridiculous. we’ve barely had any dates or recouplings without a dumping being involved. idk to me it feels like they are trying to recreate the hype around andrea’s dumping from last season.

Exactly!! they forgot that all the “hyped” drama from last season came from couples- comparatively- getting to develop and the islanders being more invested in that than the prize

Yes excellent point!! I’m also getting elimination fatigue, I just think (to the extent that it is) it’s their best bet to switch gears and pivot to more of the “love” part of love island which I’m not certain the islanders (including olandria and nic) were 100% doing on their own

to be fair i only think the islanders started doing that bc they have to vote EVERY time someone was dumped. in past seasons islanders didn’t get to vote this much & it was mostly based on who wasn’t in a couple
