I think it also has to do with guys vs girls. I’ve been watching love island since 2020 and I always notice that the guys on the show can be absolutely horrible and have the biggest fan base when they come out, but girls face much harder criticism. What you’re pointing out probably plays a roll too I’m not discrediting that either.

Exactly. The hate the women have received meanwhile it’s crickets for the men is fucking ridiculous. I’m not surprised tho because love island is majority women viewers and for some reason they tend to baby the men on the show and absolutely rip to shreds the women
