I agree I think it’s just a lot harder to do bc a lot of people aren’t willing to risk their careers for a life in social media and also can’t get 2 months off work and have enough for their bills still

It just depends on the person bc me personally, I love my career a lot so I would never give it up for an influencer career. Especially because not all influencers stay relevant forever. My job security is better in my career and that’s a higher pay off for me personally

To add to this, I wouldn’t be surprised if every day people who are living normal lives and aren’t influencers would be put off from going on the show now. The fans are extremely ruthless and hateful now. Before the show got popular on TikTok, 3 people in the franchise already took their lives due to hate so imagine how worse it is now that the TikTokers are watching. Majority of normal people wouldn’t put themselves through that, no matter how appealing potential brand deals may be.

Serena even said that the reason they felt so comfortable being themselves on season 6 was because they knew love island USA wasn’t popular. This is why I believe the new fans ruined the show by being so invasive and nit picky.
