It’s hard for him to process because as he stated logically he wanted to be with someone where they’d be first time parents together. He’s crossing a boundary for himself pursuing a single mom when he should’ve just left her alone. He clearly does not want to be a step father.

I mean I think that’s the case for a lot of people I think he needs to learn to communicate what he’s feeling with huda instead of only love bombing or they’re never getting anywhere
