It was a stellar movie. Unfortunately people hate on movies where mental health is the central plot. Which is ironic since a huge part of Tony Stark’s story is his struggle with how the attack on NY mentally changed him.

Oh I’ve seen so much hate online and specifically in this community 💀 when it first came out people kept saying how it was so stupid and just an analogy for mental health

Dog- as much as I understand where you are coming from- that is such a surface level take. The movie (like all MCU movies- even though some are bad) is a fictional story that’s intended to mirror and commentate on current politics. That’s literally why Stan wrote the comics in the first place. Captain America vs Tony Stark is literally a feud meant to represent how capitalism wars against everything classic American values stand for. Please read between the lines. It’s so fascinating. 🙏

This movie was literally supposed to commentate on government corruption and overreach justified as a safety mechanism. While also representing the current mental health crisis that so many people face and the vulnerability that causes despite how powerful they may be. And also finally- how the political world is designed to force people into compromising positions- and that it’s practically impossible to make it without being cutthroat and unethical- and that’s why the corruption persists.
