I like Ross’s art so much I have his Superman as my wallpaper, huge fan of his realism

My personal fave is Bruno Redondo. I know his designs are simpler in comparison to Alex Ross or Tim Sale, but his style to me perfectly combines old school comic charm with really interesting panel setups

Mcfarlane’s big strengths are his excellent sense of dramatic lighting and his ability to make highly detailed scenes easy to parse without being cluttered

After this came out I briefly browsed through a Twitter thread that highlighted the worst panels and it’s not even “haha fart funny” juvenile humor, it’s literally fart fetish material. Characters get turned on by farts in it every other page. The plot is apparently Harley wanting to resurrect infamous fart fetishist and author James Joyce because she likes the smut fart fetish letters he wrote his wife. Even the fucking tagline is “calling all sickos”. Poor Harley, man

They should be. The thing has full on scratch and sniff pages. It’s like the DC execs secretly hate Harley or something and wanted to progressively ruin her character by making her spout reddit humor constantly and this was their attempt at a final nail in the coffin. The Poison Ivy x Harley shit has gotten really cringe in the comics as well because there’s currently a whole plotline about Harley getting cucked, no exaggeration (panel
