Same here. Frank has had young sidekicks in the past, Amy being the one I’m most knowledgeable on. It always felt like his and Peter’s relationship was like that. The guy is a father figure habitually. Even his vague love interest is 28 and that’s probably the lowest I’m comfortable with people shipping him with.

I mean, I grew up on AO3, in the supernatural fandom. Which famously is the home of Wincest, so it’s not the weirdest thing in the grand scheme of things but still…I find it disturbing considering their dynamic.

oh for sure. i’ve been in plenty of fandoms with absolutely heinous ships so i def don’t fault anyone for feeling that way. even i feel gross about em sometimes bc some spideycastle shippers have written some insane shit for them too that really should have been kept to themselves, soooo def not helping make it any more palatable. 💀
