Me too. I’m a huge kang fan, I have a bunch of figurines and a ton of his books. Had so many theories and everything

I think Loki really sells him as the big villain though, and remember the variant in Ant Man was one of many. I think they were trying to duplicate the comic version where he loses a lot, but comes back just as often

I don’t know, the fact that he lost to Ant man and crew kind of left a bad taste in the mouth. To be fair, the only buildup we’ve gotten is from Loki and Quantumania and the former wrapped up his story up well enough, leaving really only the former’s end credit scene as the only real buildup. If it wasn’t for us knowing the fact that he was supposed to be the big bad from announcements, we wouldn’t have known that he was supposed to be.

Even considering the end credits scene, how many other end credit scenes of the last 5-6 years have gone unresolved or unanswered? Far too many to be frank. The fact that Doom is the big bad and the only buildup we have of him is in one end credits scene is just disappointing. Hopefully phases 7-9 will do better.
