As someone whose brother enlisted, PLEASE don’t enlist just for social opportunities. Join a local sports club, or something like that! There’s a casual flag football team near me and those guys seem awesome

Do not join the armed forces, I’ve not known a single person (of the three I’ve talked to but still) who was glad they enlisted. Plus think about the types of war crimes you’d be committing under this current admin, it’s not worth it. You can find similar social connections at the right regular job anyway

I think it’s just so much to get into just for the sake of social life. Like, if you’re not sure that the military is what you want, then there’s a good chance it’s not for you and you’ll be stuck in a multi-year contract. My brother doesn’t necessarily regret it, but he’s literally got a count down until his contract is up
