Just cause of the way my parents were I never really fully committed to playing professionally the way I maybe should have. I played outside of school and got cool opportunities from it but it’s so hard when you get older and realise that you aren’t going to make it professionally in the one thing you really stood out in.
Now I’m 24. Just finished getting my masters and although on paper things might not look too bad I have no idea what I really want to do. Everything feels like such a task for me cause I don’t enjoy any of it. I just finished working an internship and have now been unemployed for about a month post grad. I just feel so unmotivated applying for stuff and feel like I made the wrong decisions and don’t know what I really wanna do with my life now.
I played semi- professionally then got a serious injury and couldn’t even walk properly for almost a year. Went through depression and anxiety. Now I am slowly back to playing some level of sports. Sports is not for the faint hearted. Some people can manage the highs and lows better than others but it’s tough tough
