Idk how old you are, but autistic people sometimes get where they want to be at an older age than their NT peers, so life being kind of shitty currently is not necessarily a sign it will always be that way!

Sorry you and your mom are struggling. If you aren’t doing so already, I hope you’ll check out food banks and any other resources in your area, and not feel embarrassed or “not poor enough” to use them.

Fr, I work and I’m still on food stamps. Many people don’t realize they might qualify
