My partner is gone for the night and I thought I’d be ok but I’m having a psychotic episode and really scared and idk what to do. They help a lot but it’s them being physically here that I need and that can’t happen tonight and idk what to do

Ok my love, take a deep breath focus on things around you listen to music with headphones if that helps to drown out sound. Just take it one step at a time

What did you use to do before you met them?

My psychosis has really only been getting bad since we got together 4 years ago (we got together shortly after a traumatic event that my doctors think caused my psychosis) so I don’t really know how to cope with it without them. I try what my therapist says but it only helps a little while they help a lot

Of course one of the best things to do rn is recenter your mind, don’t avoid thinking and feeling negative things but try to not let it absorb you. It’s ok if you’re sad or anxious but in spite of that watch a movie or make something you like just anything to help you process well also not lose it
