one of the most important skills a suicidal person can learn in life is how to kill yourself without ending your life. new brighter beginnings always require destruction- there is always a better way to escape than permanent death

this is so true. massive life changes have saved me from suicide several times. it’s not to say that feeling trapped always comes from situational factors; mental anguish alone can absolutely bring you to the edge of suicide. regardless, change can give you a new lease on life. shake up the snowglobe, see if the dust settles in a new place

there’s alot of permanence in killing yourself without dying if you do it right. purge your life of everything you can that makes it not worth living

getting rid of everything and everyone in your life that makes it not worth living, starting over, becoming a new version of yourself- like a natural forest fire that wipes the slate clean and allows new life to flourish better than before

it is, it’s also one of the best feelings in the world. for me it meant leaving the church and an abusive school environment and finding people that actually cared about me and accepted me as my whole self. it’s different for everyone but nothing is more rewarding
