It sucks literally freezing every time i get lectured by my parents. I can’t ever truly communicate properly with anybody because i just FREEZE up. I KNOW what i want to say but every inch of me doesn’t allow myself to speak whats on my mind

i realized that when you get overly criticized and always have it puts you in this feeling of you are too small and they are bigger. and that’s why our flight or fight kicks in and can’t express because we will get shut down either way somehow or another

yelling is not a healthy way to communicate, no wonder why we freeze up because it’s like a panic zone where you feel like you have to say the right things to avoid getting yelled at or criticized. i feel that

i literally couldn’t move in that moment either, i couldn’t speak, and i couldn’t move. shit had me feeling like a deer in headlights 😔
