I had someone at work today say they think it’s selfish, not even realizing my brother died. I just told myself to stay strong. 🫡

people really don't understand what mental illness does to someone. when you get to that kind of low point, it genuinely feels like the only way out

Calling it selfish pisses me off so much. What’s selfish is expecting me to stay alive just to prevent your feelings from getting hurt temporarily
