It's still insane to me that shit like your own personal gender identity is so policed and monitored by those around you, and the government 😐 like wtf A person magically being wired to fit the specific strict gender roles we made up is so fucking rare to start with. Why do they make us all roleplay these insanely specific performative roles under severe duress 😭 why can't we all just *be*

Do whatever you need to, but find your people who love and support you for YOU. Period, no conditions. Whether it’s online or what. Community keeps you above water and sane

Is there any possible way you can escape your current area? Like transferring schools, or applying to a school elsewhere? Bc I'm from NJ, and today I literally spent most of my shift talking gender-theory w my NB coworker and their poly partners As well as several random genderqueer customers Like that's a pretty typical day here (still not good enough, as there's still plenty of weird ppl here. But there's at least MORE non-weird individuals. And queer and genderqueer and trans ppl everywhere)
