I feel stuck, depressed, and idk what to do about it. One second I’m happy, being a social butterfly, seeking a girlfriend, and the next, I’m upset, don’t want to talk to anyone, and couldn’t see myself being loved by anyone ever again. What do I do?

don't force a feeling on yourself if you feel like you need time alone. sit with it and then once you feel ok to socialize again, go for it. it's ok to have these mixtures of feelings but when you do you just have to sit with what you're feeling even if it gets in the way

so obviously meds are not the answer for everyone, but I was the same way and put off getting help for YEARS, but as soon as I went on meds this went away. id recommend making an appointment with a psych, even if you don’t want to start meds it’s not as scary as it seems and helps so much❤️

also, I always assumed I wouldn’t be able to afford help, but the place I go through is only $20 with insurance and im pretty sure they have programs for people who don’t to make it a similar price!

Thank you! I’ve never really been good at just sitting with my feelings or letting myself feel much at all, but I’ll definitely try my best and work on it

I was told before I “didn’t need meds,” but maybe my therapist was incompetent, or I’ve gotten worse, or just changed, idk. Never really been a fan of them, but I’ll talk to a doctor and see what they think
