I used to think this, then I faced ppl who actually ARE 'hard to be around mentally' The 'friends' that put SO FUCKING MUCH on you. Are constantly on you every second about how you aren't doing enough for them, how you hurt their feelings, how you don't respond quick enough, how you aren't perfect enough, how you didn't do xyz well enough; the 'friend' that NEVER does shit for you or even seems to regard you as a human, yet they make being their friend an entire unpaid high-stress
i think the way thats phrased is kind of shitty but just because you are able to be there for others when you're going through shit doesnt mean others are able to do that. people react differently to stress. i think a better way for someone to phrase it is like "i'm having a hard time being around other ppl because of my mental health" rather than "youre hard to be around mentally" bc I vs you statement yk
Labor-intensive job. The 'friend' that's constantly harping on you, sending you into fight-or-flight, making you hate yourself and feel like a pathetic piece of shit While the last time they asked about you was never Basically Selfish, self-obsessed, highly emotional yet psychopathic individuals who lack all regard for others
