
I can relate with this, it can be so hard to set a boundary and that feeling of disappointing someone after you set a boundary is so real and valid. The best thing someone told me is that when someone is mad that you set a boundary, it means that there was a good reason why you set the boundary in the first place.
exactly. and i’ve been a people pleaser for so long and i’m trying to take care of myself more, and that includes setting boundaries, but then i feel so guilty when people get upset. it’s like they never think that i’ll actually say “no this isn’t okay with me and it makes me uncomfortable”. and then they get mad but at the same time i know i’m doing what’s right for me
