Crazy how lack of recognition and support and normal pay at your job can contribute so heavily to a major depression spiral.

Yeah, I feel that, and it’s terrible that it becomes systemic to a lot of workers bc capitalism (not downplaying ur own feelings just linking it to a greater issue in the US bc lack of benefits in many jobs that don’t even pay well anyway…and it’s like well what can you do?.)

I do soooooo much unpaid work. On top of that, I'm the bar manager (I do literally all of the bar manager work), only for my bitch ass male coworker to be hailed as 'the bar manager'. He gets all the recognition and credit, and he's the face of authority. Even though I do literally everything. It's really distressing.

Hailed. He wouldn't stop whining and bitching about how badly he wanted to be the bar manager. Upper management loves me. I kinda told upper management he's bar manager after he nonstop bitched at me to do so. So my b. I expected him to actually do the work, seeing as how 'passionate' he was. But nope. I do literally everything. He just walks around telling everyone he's the bar manager. All of upper management knows it's me at least. But he's created a very irritating situation.

I’m ok I guess. I am still working there and I break down and cry multiple times a day just thinking about how poorly I’m being paid and how shitty the system is in general. Im tired of all it.
