Sometimes the environmental science classes really hit you like that Here’s some shit that changed a lot for me: the doomer effectively is the same as the reactionary asshole. If you don’t believe that change is possible, you’re just like the people that stifle change for the better. Shoutout Paulo Freire. History shows things can, do, and will change yo There’s a great Ursula k leguin quote that’s basically like “capitalism seems inescapable, but so did slavery and the reign of kings”

Things will get better and in many countries outside the US it is getting better because they are actually being active in their climate goals. Remember we did fix the ozone and we can fix other things too.

This Climate optimism is hard, it really is, but it is so incredibly important to work towards and for me it’s my motivation to try and take action

Thank you, I try really hard to avoid some risk but man is it hard to get out of my own head without an outside perspective sometimes
