21st Birthday is coming up and all I can think about is how I wish I had more people to spend it with. I’m worried im running out of time and I’m scared of being lonely forever. This is probably over dramatic but any advice would help (2/2)

for 2 years i was isolated inside a house with only one online friend who i would talk to occasionally. the loneliness was overbearing, and i found myself becoming a jealous and hateful person. I tried making friends, but no matter what it never worked, and i stayed envying those who have connection. friend, I understand what it’s like. It is NEVER dramatic. it is overwhelming and so hard. but it will not be like this forever, i promise. at first, someone would reach out to me+

I totally understand where you’re coming from :( I don’t think it sounds dramatic at all as I often used to go in and out of feeling this way. If you need someone to talk to, I’m here. It’s ok if you’re not comfortable sharing but have you been diagnosed with anything? Like depression maybe? Just asking because Im diagnosed and what you’re saying really resonates with me. (1/2)

and i was reluctant to try making friends anymore but you will find someone who will push their way into your bubble. as long as you give yourself the room for some sort of social interaction to happen, it will happen. help someone who needs help, compliment someone on the street! these little things can lead to bigger outcomes. you will not always feel this way, i just know i can promise you that much.

joining a club, volunteering, those kinds of things. they give you room to talk to more people (or let them come to you!) regardless, coping is still hard. hold yourself tight and remember it will not always be this way.
