hey yall so if i want to get my memory seriously checked out and evaluated who would i go to? therapist, psychiatrist… someone who will BELIEVE me when i say my recall is not right

i did the same and i started by talking to my neurologist about it. we concluded that i have some memory issues as a result of my epilepsy. ik it’s hard to get an appointment with a neurologist so I would ask your therapist or doctor to put in a referral for you

everyone just says i’m forgetful and i worry too much. no one will believe me tho

for what it’s worth i believe you. i know how much it sucks firsthand. but i really do think it’s at least worth bringing up with a medical or mental health professional to at least rule out that yours isn’t caused by a medical issue like mine. if nothing else it’ll validate you and give you peace of mind
