
I would definitely express this to the people closest to you. If they dont know how their checks in are triggering to you, they absolutely should be let into the know so they dont worsen your situation. I can’t speak for anyone, but I assume they have good intentions and do want to help you, so please express your needs and boundaries to them if you haven’t already so nobody causes any pain (if they are aware of the trigger already, it’s obviously a different story)
