it’s not even that, she literally just wrote my prescription wrong. prescribed me half of what I usually take as a big ol’ Oopsie. I’m additionally seriously chronically ill, and this is a medication where sudden cessation can cause escalated pulse and a huge spike in blood pressure
Please if you can afford it go to an ER, or urgent care while you wait for your doctor to get back to you. Or contact your PCP. If it’s not controlled and they know you’re on it (brigg bf the regular rx) they might be able to write an emergency supply, especially with that side effect. (If it’s propranolol (just a guess) it shouldn’t be an issue if you get someone competent)
took 4 consecutive days of calling and messaging my clinic, but I managed to get ahold of my prescriber’s supervisor this morning, and now the refill is finally waiting for me at the pharmacy POTS is kicking my ass rn but I should be able to take a trip over there in a couple hours. thank you for your concern / suggestions though 🙏
tbh I end up stuck dealing with some form of withdrawals—or at least dealing with the consequences of going unmedicated—every other month, no exaggeration, because I’m on an absurd number of meds prescribed by like 5 different providers and not a single one of them is reliable or easy to get ahold of. makes keeping myself alive feel like more trouble than it’s worth, but here I am
