I have my first therapy sesh and while I’m still more neurotic and strange than the average person,
like yesterday I got out of a 2 year dissociative episode and I feel like I’m walking on cloud 9 so. idk what i’m going to do lol. any advice??

lmao I don’t think it could hurt. I’ve had two therapists that I didn’t vibe with and one that was the goat. this is a new one since I had to move states

I saw a psychologist a few times and didn’t like it. It felt like he was trying to pry into my mind and I didn’t want to tell him anything

I’m also kinda apprehensive about letting people in, but I think that’s an indicator that I need therapy. like, it’s ok to let people in, to be seen.

Okay? He’s a psychologist that’s his job. He is trying to pry into your mind because someone thought that you needed specialized help. That doesn’t mean other people don’t benefit from therapy. Also therapist and psychologists are different

Just because your experience wasn’t great doesn’t mean you should discourage others from seeking help. That’s a dangerous perspective to have 😬
