It all has truth in it, but it’s also afoul to compare your childhood experiences with your parents or whoever. Yeah it’s all our first time living but with their childhood it might’ve been a norm. You can only make that argument when you’ve had the exact same experience and no 2 people can have the exact same experiences.

Great song with good message, not justifying what happened but putting things into perspective that our parents, were raised by parents who were also learning how to live and raise a family and the chain continues. It sad we have to break the cycle but we will be the ones to break it
