I’ve been no contact with my mother for about 6 months now. I miss my mom but that woman never really existed. I miss who she could have been if she was capable of loving me

I completely understand, I’ve been no contact with parents for 3 years now. All I can say now is matter how much time goes by you’re still gonna miss them. And that if you want to continue no contact or not, do what is best for you !

One time, she texted. But when I was home, I went to say hi. Wanted to talk to discuss everything. When I knocked on her door, she thought it was my brother and told him(me) to shut up cause she was busy on the phone. So I walked out of there and continued no contact

do you think if she knew it was you she would have said that? i don’t mean to pry and i’m sorry if im making you uncomfy in any way, i’m just the product of a lot of ppl going no contact with each other and it’s traumatized me. sometimes i wonder if there was more communication and counseling present that things would be different… but i know your situation must be different from mine and you certainly had a good reason. some ppl never change, but others will if they value what’s at stake.
