
tbh i think something nearly everyone (self very much included) could stand to work on is the willingness to admit to being wrong. or especially the ability to do so with dignity, i.e. being able to say “oh, you’re right” / “oops, that was my bad” without feeling bitterness or overwhelming shame & self-loathing
different people are gonna have different steps to take on this front depending on their mentality, but for example it can be useful to keep in mind that 1) the impact of your actions on other people usually matters more than what your intentions were AND 2) you do know your own intentions better than anyone else, so you still don’t actually gotta beat yourself up over it when someone inaccurately assumes the worst of you
