think of it like a buzzing light at work/ school. When you first start to notice it, it’s so loud and the only thing you can hear. But once you live with it for long enough, you either learn to tune the noise out, or you finally have enough of it and fix the light. basically what im saying is finding coping strategies/ distractions and/or seeking help is essentially the only way to deal with it.
i do know how scary to experience this though, if you’re not already diagnosed then look into OCD coping strategies bc this sounds very familiar to how my OCD presents. something that’s important to remember is that we can’t control the cards we were dealt in life, but we can control how we react to them!!
