Currently in my home country and no matter how often I speak Spanish to my uncle, he will ALWAYS respond in his very shitty English. Even if I have a very fluid conversation with my aunt in Spanish about ANYTHING, he will always speak English to me 😐

He also constantly asks me questions about the US and tries to point out how American I am only because I live in the states. When I literally have citizenship here, i grew up visiting family and staying here for long periods of time, etc. he’ll ask me the most basic questions like “how many times do you hear the word [extremely common slang word here that I have known my whole life] per day? Do you know what it means?” Like dude I’m a fucking citizen here…
