Hey guys I'm the one who made the first response that stated all of this I didn’t mean to cause so much drama. No my Spanish is not perfect by any means and yes I make mistakes especially at 3am when I wrote that, but that doesn’t make my Spanish any more invalid. “pues dĂgame cĂłmo tĂș tas” while wrong is a very common slang phrase. Also to the person in this thread attempting to diminish every dialect through linguistic racism and classism cĂĄllate pinche guay hijodeputAaa 😊

actually that’s kinda even more wrong cause you’re asking how’s it going but it’s implied to be about someone else, not me

Actually, you're even more wrong. DĂgame is usted conjugation, so "estĂĄ" must be the same conjugation. That's like the stupid "oye primos" show.

well no lols. I mean my whole point was that you were implying asking about a third person, not me. That being said I get what you’re saying but in that case it SHOULD be “dígame, como está usted” if you do not want to use “como estas” with an s. Also, the original person who posted is obviously of some sort Caribbean decent or learned Spanish that way. It’s just slang haha

No, the correct is "dĂgame cĂłmo estĂĄ". Usted is implied but omitted, as this is very typical in Spanish. Excusing nonsense with the abomination that is Caribbean Spanish is not a valid argument. I'd bet you defend "oye primos" is correct instead of "oigan primos".

so this discussion seems to have gotten wayyy out of hand LMAO. Tbh there is so much wrong with what you said but I’ll give u the benefit of the doubt on this and assume ur just confused on what I was trying to explain to you. Also, why the hate on different forms of speaking? I learned castellano and honestly, the only thing I want to know is where ur from cause I can lowkey tell HAHAHA

Unfortunately, you are the one who is confused. You speak Spanglish, so you don't know that in Spanish, it is only grammatically correct that the verb conjugations coincide with the subject. The problem with abominations like Spanglish is that we have this scenario in which a Spanglish speaker insists faulty grammar is correct.

mind you, i literally grew up in South America and still live there except for right now as I go to school in the states HAHAHAH so I believe I did learn “grammatically correct Spanish”. I really don’t know why you cannot admit you’re wrong and have instead completely flipped the tables and come for bilingual people lol. You are aware that I meant no harm with my original comment and that what u were “correcting” was someone asking HOW I WAS, not how something was doing in general right? đŸ€š

So you're one of those Spanglish-speaking no sabo kids. This is a matter of conjugating simple verbs that any Spanish speaker would say it is only correct that the verb coincides, "dĂgame usted" and not "dĂgame tĂș", the latter being a plainly incorrect perversion of the language. Obviously now that you're denying elementary facts, you did not at all learn grammatically correct Spanish.

omg wait perfect! you literally just admitted I was right like two posts ago before your vision become super blurred with highkey classism, racism, and just plain idiotic hatred 😊 no worries tho, I won’t take offense to your clear miserable shots at assuming who I am as a person LMAOOO. Like be so fr I just wanted to make convo dude

What are you blabbering about? You thought that "dĂgame tĂș" is correct Spanish, and now you're upset because I pointed it out? You don't have to take offense. I'm only stating plainly obvious facts that pretty much anyone can see.

bruh HAHAHA are u telling me that all that was cause u misinterpreted what I wrote? my mistake, I should’ve written “actually, you’re also kinda wrong
” but my bad for thinking you would understand what I was trying to say (the least important part of that sentence mind you)

Didn't take long for you to label me classist and racist, did it? Your Americanized wokeness leaked there. Rest assured that your anti-intellectualism is equally as frustrating. The radical left's obsession with mediocrity is laughable. The truth is that aberrations like Spanglish and AAVE are not real valid languages.

dude you’re actually beating a dead horse and legit arguing with yourself atp. Again with the reading comprehension lmao, I did not label you as anything unlike what you clearly continue to do to me :) linguistic racism is still racism and I mentioned classism because you began to imply I did not learn proper Spanish due to what? cause I grew up in a Spanish speaking country but my parents were fortunate enough to send me to an international school? also, who tf mentioned politics?? HAHAHAHAH

Sad that your parents are paying for you to become indoctrinated by Marxist academics. "Linguistic racism" is tired nonsense pushed by the crowd with critical race theory and celebration of mediocrity that are trying to dumb down society to further Marxist ideals. Also, you're likely exaggerating your heritage based in South America. Pero discutåmoslo en español a ver si es cierto o no, ya que siempre se le nota a alguien por la forma de escribir si en verdad tiene dominio nativo del idioma.

hii! As the person who originally made the post, I just wanted to say thanks for responding in general. I also did not mean or intend for any of that to happen lmao but what can you do, there’s always bound to be people like that ig. my Spanish would most likely be bashed by them as well because we happen to speak in heavy slang as well đŸ€·â€â™€ïž ANYWHO I’m doing pretty good đŸ©· Happy Easter!

why should I do that 😂, and why would I discuss anything further with someone who severely lacks reading comprehension or the ability to interpret any form of text? Yes, I am NOW using labels cause u seem to thrive off of them, and I have clear evidence to back up my claims, unlike you, who picks apart anything just to end up pulling out some nonsense from their ass that has nothing to do with me or the discussion. Again, I was not being rude or attacking you lmao. Happy Easter ig

So you're just too insecure to demonstrate that you grew up in South America by actually proving that you can write in Spanish. Slang is not a problem, since I also use slang, South American too, but Spanglish is the real issue. Your spoken Spanish probably has a marked Yankee accent, doesn't it?
