Here’s my kelp block fuel factory, virtually all automatic and controlled/monitored from a control room using red-stone lamps as indicators. Involves build in alarms using noteblocks to notify me if anything is wrong

Key: Green - controls White - informational, helpful for troubleshooting or identifying issues Yellow - directly tied to the automatic operation redstone, stops automatic operation when lit Red - something is wrong and will impact operation unless fixed
