Okay so I uploaded my 5+ year old world to a realm and it completely wiped all the data of it. Is there a way to restore it? Or am I now done for

Without a backup it’s gone

Love it. I hate Minecraft so much now. Years and hundreds of memories on one world and now it’s completely gone thanks to a bug in realms.

TO BE FAIR it does say to always make a backup of the work before trying to port it to realms

To be fair if I’m spending money to have something uploaded it damn sure should work. And I have a backup but now that’s blank as well along with all of my worlds.

That’s not a realms glitch, that’s a computer issue

Check how your computer stores Minecraft data

I’m on ps4. Literally everything worked fine until I got realms

Aaaaaaaaaaah def a device storage issue then. Do you use an external drive at all?

No I have 1 TB of storage and have 300 GB free

Does logging out of your mojang account and relogging back in fix it?

Idk I’ll have to try it tomorrow. I sent a support ticket out and they claimed it was a common issue so that’s cool

It is. It’s an issue, hence why they tell you to back up the world, but everything else fucking up is bc of a communication to where the storage for the world data is

Then they should fix the issue. If uploading a world to realms erases all the data of the rest of the worlds and that’s a common issue then they need to shut realms down. My backup is now blank and it’s not even a realm

Bedrock is just a bugs nest pretending to be a game with features. Good luck getting them to fix anything 😭

It’s great I love losing years of memories with people who aren’t around because mojang is too lazy to fix their game but wants to add bullshit features

It’s more so bc Microsoft forces them to focus on features to bring players in than support existing players. Fatal flaw in Microsoft’s company structure

If that was true you’d see the mob vote losers in the game by now

….we are

But they said specifically they’d never do that, once they were voted out they were gone. Yet they’re doing it anyway

We’re getting the copper golem. We have mobs from 8 years ago still not in the game

Bc mojang said the catch of the Mob vote, unlike the biome vote, was once they’re gone they’re gone. That’s part of the reason they stopped them, the community got too heated over disagreeing with the outcome. I think the only reason they’re adding it now is bc they ran out of ideas big enough for the new quarterly drops to keep people excited

They confirmed years ago mob vote losers would be added. They’re just now doing it because they’re lazy

They hinted at it, but didn’t confirm it. Only through the biome specific drop model, which we’ve seen be successful. They’re not lazy, they’re genuinely being forced back by Microsoft. If they’re not careful they’re gonna kill the game again

They literally confirmed it but ok. They are pretty lazy about it that’s why people get mad at them, lots of new features would keep the game alive. What kills it is false promises and game breaking bugs
