i’m a minecraft hoarder who keeps seeing people wish there were trash cans in the game, if you delete items and/or wish there was a way to do it easier, why? i’m so curious

Lava, cactus, fire, tnt, creeper, all of these are ways to delete items? Idk what they’re on about. Only thing I ever let despawn are wheat seeds after harvesting and replanting my fields. There’s too many to bother keeping.

Why not just use a lava bucket in a couldren? Or wait 5 minutes

you can make a pit with a trapdoor. if you put a cactus or lava in it, it will despawn the item. those are the only methods i’ve used

Trail ruins leave me with a lot of dirt and gravel. I don’t need all of that

When I make a mob farm, sometimes it makes too much rotten flesh for example, so I have the extra trashed so I it doesn't block the system and the farm can keep making bones and whatnot. I just use lava. Never needed anything else.

I usually compost them for free bone meal. Really need to set up a couple hoppers for this purpose!

This is especially wild to me I always need more dirt and gravel

Although, I will admit, a single block that deletes items would be cool, since lava is loud and can light things on fire, droppers aren't all that quiet either, and cacti need a good bit of room.

I just use a cleric to get rid of rotten flesh, but it’s difficult to transport. 15 stacks a trip for 30 emeralds.

Yes, I’m quite the builder and explorer! but I like to make my builds look nice so I don’t use dirt or gravel. What am I supposed to use dirt and gravel for?

Gravel is useful for concrete powder and coarse dirt, and I always need more dirt for terraforming. I use coarse dirt in flowerbeds, to detail paths, and to add atmosphere to builds like my graveyard.

See I only play on peaceful mode so I can’t build with concrete. And I usually never bother with terraforming but using coarse dirt in paths is such a good idea ✍🏻

I play in peaceful mode too! You only need sand and gravel (plus a dye) to make concrete, no need to miss out on it.
