MLB on Yik Yak | I only mostly watch baseball during the playoffs so forgive me for my ignorance but the concept of a 3 or 5 game series in the playoffs after a 162 game season is baffling to me. Why is the regular season so long if you can lose the season in 4 games?

Regular season is about 6 months lol that’s just as long as the NBA and NHL. I guess the losing season part is just to encourage teams to give it their all lol some NHL and NBA playoff series can get long asf and teams kinda half ass the first couple games

It's not about that, it's about vibe. It's about having your team to watch every day good or bad. AM radio crackle and your boys on the call for half the year
