He literally got the Yankees a run why would people be mad? That ball woulda been caught without interference. That fan extended the life expectancy of the Yankees

There’s not a single sportswriter saying it shoulda been a home run. Everyone agree it was fan interference. Maybe he doesn’t catch it but that’s why they still got a run out of it. Without the fan interference he absolutely would’ve had a chance to catch it though so ergo, the fan interference helped more than it hindered

I looked up that headline word for word and it does not exist. This is the headline of The Athletic article. Even Aaron Boone said they got the call correct.
