It’s not because it’s a kids movie lol. Toy Story, Ratatouille, and Spirited Away are some of my favorite movies of all time. I just don’t want to watch Coraline.

I feel like film bros are much more open minded to kids movies tho. It’s the “cinephiles” and film douchés that think they’re above kid movies because they like obscure Russian movies and shit.

Is it not a kids movie? The last thing I’d show my kid would probably be Birth of a Nation or Antichrist or something, but that’s just me.

Dontk now about that lol my gf grew up with it and she always talks about how much it shaped her childhood. Antichrist is probably the opposite of what I’d show my child. It traumatized me as an adult, so I can’t imagine what it would do to a kid.
