Outrage is from the normal everyday people who just watch movies. The glaze is coming from the lettrbox bros, the podcast reviewers, and overall critics who were always bound to glaze the hell out of the film for those two casting choices alone

Which is the irony of the whole film because there shouldn’t be any Americans or Brits in a film about the Ancient Greeks & Romans yet they’ll bitch about whitewashing in everything else but turn a blind eye to it in this film since it did other absurd shit with its casting

it isn’t really lol. i work at a movie theater and the only places i hear people complaining about those casting choices are on the internet. i don’t really think it matters either way. nolan doesn’t seem like a particularly “woke” person and just sees a vision for certain actors.
