Friendship, I honestly think, is the absolute worst movie I’ve ever seen. It is such a tough watch. Zero purpose, message, and more importantly, there was zero comedy. I love Tim, I really do, but this has got to be one of his worst performances.

worst take of all time. best comedy of the century. and i honestly find it relatable for anyone with ADHD or on the spectrum. lightly explores male loneliness. not every movie needs a “message” either way

I’m not sure if you are just incapable of grasping the most basic messages in movies or if you have trouble finding humor in a movie that is completely tailored towards Tim Robinson’s fans. The message was simple and very clear regarding socializing and navigating friendships as an adult. I would say it’s definitely a depressing movie, but that’s the point. Tim’s character is pretty much built as someone who is trying to act human. It’s a simple plot, not bad, but not great.

I didn’t care for it, but I think you’re being very dramatic

I think the purpose of making a movie is to deliver a message. It doesn’t have to be deep or anything. I like the idea of it exploring male loneliness but the scenarios were extremely specific and for me, unrealistic of what male loneliness looks like.

I just don’t think his delivery throughout 90% of the film was done well. I have been on the verge of pissing myself from his skits. This movie I let out a good laugh maybe twice.

the purpose of movies in general is not to deliver a message. many of the greatest movies simply tell a story, provide an experience, entertain, explore mood. the purpose of a movie is 100% dependent on the filmmaker. i mean it’s dramatized for comedic effect. and male loneliness doesn’t just take one shape. but regardless it’s just a funny movie.

Yeah I’m not sure why you’re coming at me sideways but the delivery was shit. Sorry if I offended you but you can take your pASSive aggressive attitude and quite literally shove it up your ass.
