Batman is lowkirk just as much of a boy scout morally speaking as Superman is, he’s just using a different toolkit and wearing black. Like yeah Superman it’s easy to be dressed like a goofball with underwear on the outside when you’re invincible and shoot lasers outta your eyes. When you’re kinda just a dude (physically), you gotta do the whole “fear cuts deeper than swords” thing
And I say this as a dude who loves both characters. The reason Superman doesn’t gotta act edgy at all or really put on an intimidating persona is because the mf just IS intimidating. He’s bulletproof and can lift a car with his pinky finger, it doesn’t matter how chipper that mf is, he’s scary to anyone on the wrong side of him. Batman’s gotta lean into performing intimidation a lot more, so he acts edgy but at his core he’s just as much of a goody-two-shoes as Superman.
Of the 3 major Superman movie portrayals (Donner, Snyder, and Gunn) most people agree that at least 2 of those are good. Everyone respects the Donner version, and most people are divided on the other two, but whichever side of that argument you fall on, that’s still 2 good ones.
