i think the humor added to the heartwarming aspect of the film and made it more meaningful and built the wide range emotions people got from it

i mean that doesnt mean its not like a kids movie. the humor and emotion felt mixed in a juvenile while, and individually they kind of felt juvenile (non derogatory). not meaningless to be clear, just juvenile. its broadly accessible, simplified, consistently hopeful, and very much “humanity came together and solved a problem ”, “look at these people being brave. sacrifice is good”, “friendship! teamwork!”. not meaningless, but i’m sure you can see those are very prevalent themes in kids movies
