If you like the fun, campy vibe of Evil Dead, try Cabin Fever. I’ll always defend bad sequels like Jason Takes Manhattan, too. A more underrated favorite of mine is Mothers of Monsters (found footage thriller, less fun, more We Need To Talk About Kevin with a twist), and if you want to try a kind of weird shot-on-VHS movie made in 2022, try Night of the Zodiac. And of course, I have to suggest Repo! the Genetic Opera. Should be a good sampler of random movies across genres.
