Dude it’s literally an anti-immigration movie. In the story it's a good thing that Kal El did not bring his culture with him to earth and instead assimilated, and was raised/instilled with American values instead of the values of where he came from. It’s not woke.

Well James Gunn says an immigrant story. And if he is sent to earth with the express purpose of conquering, then how is that pro immigration?
