I don’t trust rotten tomatoes, audiences don’t seem to know what a good movie is anymore. Watched like 3 90%+ movies that were like realistically 80%s. Movie tickets are too expensive for these over inflated reviews

I also hate Rotten Tomatoes but people legitimately don't know how it works. It's literally just whether people thought it was good or bad. A movie could be like a 3 stars out of 5, average or barely above average, but have a 90% on RT if almost everyone was like "yeah that was okay"

Audience reviews are rigged on RT. Anyone here remember when Rise of Skywalker came out and it stayed glued to 86% positive no matter what? Anyone who knows basic statistics knows some shady shit was up with that.

I didn’t really know that, I have been trusting imbd more now. Sinners, Us, and 28 days later had me so excited to watch. I finished these movies disappointed, not that they’re bad, just not all that great.

IMDB is reviews by like completely average non-movie lovers, which is fair enough, but for my money the site with the most meaningful review scores is Letterboxd.
