Sadie Sink was amazing in spiderman. I wanted more from Tom though. It’s like the writing was intentionally held back from being deeper.

this is exactly what I thought! They really pulled their punches. I wanted Thunderbolts levels of depression, and I was underwhelmed :/

I thought he was great, he’s dealing with grief and depression; whilst trying to keep it from affecting his persona and actions as spiderman. To the point that it starts to affect his health.

Instead we got Disney/sony shoving the MCU gravy train agenda. Punisher and Jean could’ve still be involved, just a lesser focus.

Honestly I just think we need to be done with the writers tom gets. Underwhelming script after underwhelming script imo

That almost seemed like a sub plot at times. Men’s mental health is a growing topic atm. Would’ve been nice for the movie to explore darker elements of a man mental breaking. Could’ve even used the more aggressive spider dna as a story telling device.

Oh…I wasn’t talking about that. It’s relatable to anyone who has either lost someone or had an important job.

genuine question, how is the MCU an agenda? it is the entire purpose of every one of these movies

yeah, I thought it was good. At the very least, it took more risks than Brand New Day did ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
